Unlike licensed psychotherapists, however, I may not treat severe mental disorders and do not bill health insurance. Usually we can arrange an initial consultation within 1-2 weeks. For urgent needs, I try to arrange even faster appointments. Compared to insurance-covered therapy places with often months of waiting time, this is a significant advantage.

The costs for a session (60 minutes) will be discussed in the free initial consultation. As a self-pay service, the costs may be tax deductible or covered by private supplementary insurance.

Unlike insurance-covered psychotherapy, there is no diagnosis and no entry in your medical records. This means for you: No disadvantages with insurance, civil service employment, or professional questions.

Yes, all sessions are also available via video call. Online therapy is just as effective as in-person sessions and offers maximum flexibility – ideal if you have a busy schedule or don't live in Bochum.

My offer is aimed at adults with mild to moderate psychological stress such as anxiety, depressive moods, conflicts, or life crises. For severe mental illness or acute crises, I recommend treatment with a doctor or licensed psychotherapist.
